Restoring hope with dignity

Prevention, Education and Training Services

The Joseph J. Peters Institute’s Prevention Services Program is designed to keep children free from the devastation of sexual abuse.

We partner with community groups and organizations and offer a free, mobile community outreach and education program, funded by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services. We follow the “Universal Precautions” outlook, which assumes that risks for sexual abuse and assault are present everywhere.

The Institute offers workshops combining clinical knowledge of best practices and “real life” scenarios and experiences to provide the most current and effective prevention strategies.

Workshops are customized to the needs of the individual group – and brought to your location. All participants receive booklets, brochures, resource information and certificates of training provided by the Joseph J. Peters Institute.
